Top 10 of All Time

In your mind, who should be on the list of World's 10 Best Footballers of all time?


The general opinion is that, it's either Pele or Maradona occupying the summit, with Johan Cryuff, Platini, Puskas, Garrincha & George Best-all sharing third spot.








































However, the latest rankings released by the Association of Football Statisticians (AFS) was the worse ever. The player that single-handedly won the World Cup for Argentina in 1986-Diego Maradona, was placed at No.6 !

















Dutch Master Cruyff, who introduced total football to the world, was also not in the list. Just because Holland failed to win the World Cup in 1974, doesn't mean he shouldn't be included in the top 10 list.


Another shocking fact, George Best-European Cup Winner in 1968 with Manchester United, and European Player of The Year in that same year, couldn't make it into the list, while Iran's Ali Daei is at No.26. Oh dear!






















George Best was a wizard with the ball, and no disrespect to David Beckham whatsoever, but Best could do things with the football that Becks couldn't even do in his dreams.

1. Pele
2. Ronaldo (he's better than Maradona? Really?)
3. Romario (huh?)
4. Luis Figo
5. Zinedane Zidane
6. Diego Maradona (what's he doing at No.6?)
7. Lothar Matthaus (what's he doing in the Top 10 list?)
8. Gerd Muller
9. Franz Beckbenbauer
10. Cafu (seriously? are they sure?)

I wonder where is Eusebio? Where is Alfredo Di Stefano? Where is Bobby Charlton?





































The AFS guys really need to read the "Dummies Guide to Great Footballers".
