Happy New Year!

Gosh a lot has happen & before we know it, it's already the new year!

Football-wise has been extremely exciting! Cristiano Ronaldo finally left Manchester United to fulfill his mom's dream of seeing him in the white jersey of Real Madrid.

Deep down I've already known that Ronaldo was never gonna be around this season for United. It was sad to see him go, but he has contributed a great deal to United for five seasons. Premier League titles, FA Cup, League Cup & UEFA Champions League are the main prizes which were won & now the boy wants a new challenge. Sad to see him go to Spain, but I can understand his need for something fresh.

What I don't understand is how United is not bringing in a new striker to fill the goal getting boots of Ronaldo. No disrespect to Rooney, but Wazza needs help up font. Berbatov has yet to justify his 30 million price tag, while Michael Owen is......well........you know.

We missed Karim Benzema who opted for Madrid instead, but now it looks like he's not playing regularly for the new 'Galacticos'. Perhaps he should've opted for United to get regular first eleven action.

Antonio Valencia has done well so far, but I feel he has not been severly tested yet.

Wonder who are the replacements for Scholesy & Giggsy once they decide to call it a day...?

To me, honestly Nani needs to go. The same with Ben Foster-he looks to have the making of the new Fabian 'Butterfingers' Barthez. United need someone solid & reliable.

Kuszczak has been brilliant in several matches, I do hope he keeps the good form going. You can't be asking Edwin Van der Sar to cover all the time. I believe this is Tomasz's time to stake a claim as the next No.1 goalkeeper at United.

I am still shaking my head as to why United's management decided NOT to buy Fernando Torres. That was a HUGE & monumental mistake by them. Now El Nino is a scouser & scoring against United! I guess now they realised how silly they have been.

And why oh why hasn't United made any bid to sign French ace Franck Ribery is beyond my comprehension. Oh dear, I sincerely hope this won't come back to bite United in the a**e.

Hope Fergie won't regret this.
