Going Dutch

This just in! Can't believe it....Liverpool are on the verge of signing Dutch duo-former Red Devil goal-poacher Ruud Van Nistelrooy & former Real Madrid midfielder Rafael Van der Vaart.

Maybe these two players are just the tonic that Rafa Be-neath-Us (Benitez) need to turn Scouser's season around.

Sorry to say this....wait a minute.....no I'm not sorry to say this....Liverpool are just not that good enough to challenge for the Premier League title.

When you look at Liverpool's team sheet, only two names can be classified as world class players-Stevie Gerrand & Fernando Torres.

The rest are just making up the numbers. Jamie Carragher is a good defender, but why hasn't he been as highly rated as Rio Ferdinand or John Terry? Because he's not as consistent as these two guys are.

Scouser's can't always be relying on El Nino Torres for goals. That's too much weight on his shoulders. Kop flop Andriy Voronin is heading back to Hertha Berlin. Same goes for Andrea Dossena who looks very likely to go to Napoli despite interest from Atletico Madrid.

Now, should the deal is done. It will be an interesting senario to see Ruud scoring at the Stretford End of Old Trafford. I am sure he is still bitter about how he was shoved out of Man.United with reasons being -"unsettling the team-spirit".

I have always said that letting Van Nistelrooy go was a big mistake. Here is a prolific, natural goal-poacher never seen before since Denis Law. Give him half a chance & Ruud will stick the ball into the net.

I'm sure Ruud would want to score a few against United to rub it into Fergie.
